VAIL IS FOR VALENTINES
Ladies and Gents, come ski or snowboard on our SKI SOULS Vail trip! Vail has it all—it’s one of the largest mountain resorts with skiing and boarding for all abilities, seven powder-packed bowls, intermediate terrain in Blue Sky Basin, and a world-famous ski school.
When you stroll on Vail Village’s heated cobblestone streets, something magical happens. Shimmering lights, snow-dusted trees, the babble of the creek and the feel of fresh alpine air in your lungs … the majestic village and its mountain views are awe-inspiring. Vail evokes being in Europe with its fine dining, sophisticated shops and international clientele.
We are staying at the fabulous family-run Tivoli Lodge in the center of the village, close to lifts, bars, and shops. The hotel is less than a block away from the Vista Bahn Gondola, the mountain’s main access point. Cold after a day on the slopes? Sit by the fireplace or relax in the hot tub to warm up! The hotel also graciously offers complimentary skis and boots valet service.
Your stay includes 7 nights at the Tivoli with full breakfasts, a 5 of 6 days lift pass, a welcome reception at the hotel, après ski curated moments, group activities, and a special SKI SOULS dinner at a beautiful, fine dining restaurant.
Flights are not included. Vail is 40 minutes from Eagle County Airport (EGE), and is 2–2.5 hours from Denver International Airport (DEN). Before the trip, we’ll provide more info about airport transfers, equipment rentals, and other logistics.
February 2-9, 2019
Your adventure starts with an early evening welcome reception in front of the hotel’s fireplace, with drinks and appetizers. Meet your fellow SKI SOULS. We will get oriented and go over the schedule while sipping our signature cocktail: the “SKI SOULS Smash”.
Get your energy up with a daily gourmet breakfast. If needed, you’ll get your equipment rental, and we’ll all meet on the mountain for a private tour with our own SKI SOULS guide. We suggest meeting together at Mid-Vail for lunch. Après ski, we unite at Pepi’s for live music, drinks, and appetizers. Cool fact: Pepi’s is a quintessential Alpine lodge, built by Austrian ski racer Pepi Gramshammer in the early 1960s!
Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing? Whatever you desire, it’s all waiting. We’ll suggest meeting for lunch at an on-mountain spot, or you can find your own! That evening, get your game on! We will gather at Bol, a chic bowling alley with a modern bar and great pizza. Bowling and drinks are on us. Later that night, we will meet in the lobby and continue our game night with charades or Cards Against Humanity.
After breakfast we will head to our mountain tour of Vail’s Back Bowls. Lunch on mountain tbd depending on our mood! Epic après ski at Red Lion, the best place in town since the ’60’s! Two tables will be reserved for us in front of the stage—boots off, dancing shoes on! Later that night, relax in the hot tub to unwind and rest your skiing & dancing feet!
Magic day. Take a break from the mountain, if you’d like. Snowshoeing, xcountry skiing, or ice skating? All of the above are included. We also think Vail shopping is pretty magical. Retail therapy anyone? We’ll meet early evening for drinks at the hot tub. Enjoy small-group dinners at one of Vail’s many fine or casual restaurants, and then we can regroup in the lobby for drinks or hot chocolates by the fireplace.
Take on the mountain! Try a new area, or a different terrain—go for it! It may be your day for only black diamonds! We will host an early farewell dinner at Almresi, a romantic, charming German restaurant with an authentic Alpine vibe. The young couple from the Black Forest who run it serve delicious food, including their famous cheese fondue. Gundula may tell you some of her German ski stories here! Our amazing professional photography team will grab some SKI SOULS precious moments.
Last day of skiing or snow activity. Make your last, the best! We meet up for lunch at Bistro Fourteen on top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola. Anyone tired of skiing? There is epic snow-tubing included. On our last night, we will host a pre-dinner reception with drinks and snacks in the hotel lobby. After dinner, our final soak in the hot tub.
Farewell breakfast. This is usually the morning of picture sharing, Instagram central, exchanging contact information and with a bag full of life long memories, we send you on your way. With the help of award winning photography team, you will leave with a few of our favorite captured moments to share with your friends and family.
Itineraries may change slightly based on weather, the group’s interests, or other circumstances.
