MAR 7 – 14, 2020

SKI SOULS goes abroad! Get your passports ready and prepare for a luxurious week in the Alps.

St. Anton am Arlberg is an authentic Tyrolean mountain village in one of Europe’s snowiest areas, boasting 340 km of slopes and 200 km of off-piste itineraries. With a highly efficient lift system that connects St. Anton to Zuers, Lech and moreall on one ticket! Feel like a star when you ski the Run of Fame, 65km of mountain beautyuninterrupted.

We are staying at the historic fourstar Hotel Schwarzer Adler, built by the Knights of St. John in 1555 as an inn for travelers. Five generations of the Tschol family have been providing hospitality since 1885. The hotel impresses with beautiful rooms, gourmet cuisine, and the best spa in St. Anton.

The hotel’s restaurant was awarded a toque by Gault Millau and praised in the Guide Michelin. The spa is a beautiful oasis with five different saunas, outdoor and indoor pools, and a steam room. Unlimited relaxing in the spa after a full day of skiing is included. The location is ideal, with everything right around the corner. The toboggan run, the ski school, the cable car’s valley station, and the town are only a few steps away.

Your package includes a 7-night stay at the luxurious Hotel Schwarzer Adler with a full daily breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and coffee with home-made cakes, a five-course gourmet dinner each night, and full use of spa facilities. SKI SOULS provides you with a 6-day ski pass, a private-guide mountain tour on the first day, and après ski activities.

Flights are not included. Transfers from Innsbruck, the nearest airport, are included.  Before the trip, we’ll provide more info about airport transfers, equipment rentals, and other logistics. Passports are required for non-EU citizens.

March 07–March 14, 2019

We shuttle you from the Innsbruck airport to the Hotel Schwarzer Adler. Your European SKI SOULS adventure starts with a welcome reception at the hotel in the afternoon. Coffee, tea, and delicious pastries wait for you. Get to know your fellow SKI SOULS and get oriented as we go over the schedule.

We’ll enjoy our first five–course gourmet dinner together and get ready for a full day skiing tomorrow.

Energize with a European-style breakfast buffet. If you haven’t already, you’ll get your equipment rental directly at the ski lift across from the hotel. Two private mountain guides will meet us for private tours of Austria’s largest ski area. We will meet for lunch at on of the cozy mountain huts.

You might want to live it up in the spa after your first day of skiing. At night we meet for dinner at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant.

After a hearty breakfast, we head out for a day of skiing or snowboarding. For lunch, you may want to enjoy a taste of the Tyrolean Käsespätzle — an original Austrian dish that will give you energy for the rest of the day. It’s delicious!

Time to discover St. Anton’s famous après experience! The MooserWirt is renown for table dancing, Jägermeister, and its 60–something DJ, Gerhard.

We’ll swap stories during our scrumptious dinner at Hotel Schwarzer Adler.

Do you want to take a break to explore the town of St. Anton, enjoy a spa day, snowshoe or cross–country ski? How about a sledding adventure in the afternoon? The lighted toboggan run covers 4 km from Gampen to Nasserein to the Rodelstall — 1670 vertical feet in 15 minutes.

We’ve definitely earned our gourmet dinner tonight.

Breakfast followed by more mountain discovery. Maybe you and your new ski buddies are ready to give the Run Of Fame a try — it’s a spectacular 50 mile circuit through the entire Ski Arlberg skiing area and runs from St. Anton/Rendl via Zürs and Lech to Warth and back again.

We will meet up for lunch at a lodge on the mountain. For dessert, perhaps we’ll try Kaiserschmarrn, a local sweet temptation.

Speaking of temptations, a visit to Plannger Delicatessen in town is a MUST for every foodie. And for all ski fashionistas: don’t forget to check out one of the INTERSPORT stores, where brands like Bogner, Obermeier, Adidas and others are much less expensive than in the US.

Spa, dinner, bed? Another day in paradise comes to an end.

Arlberg is Austria’s largest ski area and we will continue our exploration after our yummy breakfast buffet. Let’s try to meet for a late lunch at the Hospiz Alm at 1600m in St. Christoph. Behind the rustic facade of a traditional ski hut, you’ll find a true gourmet temple with select wines and an open fireplace.

Rest up before dinner to be ready for Picadilly – the best live music bar in St. Anton since 1981!

Last day to take on the mountain and score your personal Run of Fame. We will try to meet for lunch at the Heustadl to get you the best wiener schnitzel on the mountain. You can’t leave without trying it!

For après ski we’ll meet at the famous Krazy Kanguruh and won’t go home before dark. It’s our last après on SKI SOULS’ first European trip and dancing will be expected!

Last gourmet dinner at Schwarzer Adler and our “last–night in St.Anton” celebration. So much fun!

Farewell breakfast. Picture sharing and contact exchanges are optional. The shuttle will bring you back to the airport. Don’t forget to get a last Pretzel before boarding the plane.

Itineraries may change slightly based on weather, the group’s interests, or other circumstances.
